History
Our project starts way back, when velit esse cillum dolore eu fugiat nulla.
What do we want to address?
“POWERS: Path for Women Empowerment, Rights and Sustainability”, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, comes from the need to address exigencies expressed by the partner organizations and concerning the high level of unemployment as an issue affecting youth and, in particular, young women in their countries.
Although the phenomenon manifests itself in different ways in the countries involved (Italy, Portugal, Spain, Senegal) according to the peculiarities of each context, in all these realities, unemployment has a strong effect on the participation of young women in the society.
Difficulties to find a job, other than due to structural causes, are also due to other factors such as the lack of opportunities (educational and practical) to acquire skills to be able to find the desired occupation or to proactively promote, implement and manage own business or activity.
This situation affects not only individuals but also the entire society whose development should be based on the participation and inclusion of all its components.
What are our objectives?
POWERS aims to empower young women and youth workers in general with entrepreneurial competences favoring their personal and professional growth, enhancing their possibility to contribute to the development of the society.
In particular, through this project we want to:
– foster cooperation and exchanges in the field of youth between Italy, Portugal, Senegal and Spain, four countries with a different experience but affected by a common issue;
– promote transnational non-formal learning mobility by involving young women and youth workers to improve their competences to plan, implement, manage and communicate their own business, their own organization or their own activities having also an effect on the society.
How do we want to achieve these objectives?
