On the 16th April, the first meeting of the Powers project took place online. “POWERS” (Path for Women Empowerment, Rights and Sustainability project) was organized by MODAVI ONLUS and its partners Aicem, Ecos, ECAF Sénégal, Plateforme des Femmes pour la Paix en Casamance and Asociación Jóvenes Solidarios and during the first online meeting participants started to get to know each other and to collect their expectations.
The first meeting with the entire group after some national preparatory meetings, was attended by 27 participants and teams from 4 countries: Italy, Spain, Senegal and Portugal. After an activity of knowledge, motivations, expectations and fears of the official participants were collected.
After briefly introducing themselves, all the participants listed their fears and expectations regarding the project. Among the most common fears, there was the impossibility of knowing each other lives because of the pandemic. We hope that soon, we will be able to overcome this aspect and to meet in presence.
Then, the organizers presented the general path of the project and the programme of the online training and the use of the platforme.
The online course is necessary to start entering into the topic, to start building the ideas and to have a background on which participants will work during the residential meeting.
The meeting ended with a small activity in which everyone shared in a word a wish for this project start.
From today the participants will be committed to follow an online training course, waiting for the first meeting in presence that we hope to do soon in Senegal!
